AppPocket Privacy Policy

Update & Effective Date

  • Last Updated: October 25, 2026
  • Effective Date: October 25, 2026

This policy applies to the browser extension AppPocket and its related services, developed and operated by Hefei Xiguoke Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”, “us” or “our”).

AppPocket is a tool that helps you bookmark, organize and track apps. We treat “no registration required, your data stays in your own browser” as a premise of the product, which is why this policy is shorter than most — what we don’t do takes up more room than what we do.

1. We Do Not Collect Your Personal Information

  1. The product has no account system. It requires no registration or login, and never asks for your phone number, email address, name, avatar or any other identifying information.
  2. We do not collect your browsing history, location, device identifiers, contacts or any other information that could identify you.
  3. The product includes no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting third-party services. We do not build user profiles and do not send you marketing content.
  4. The current version contains no feature that uploads your content to our servers. If we later offer an optional online capability (for example, data sync related to an app store backend), we will explain separately, before it is enabled, what would be uploaded, why, and where it would be stored — and we will ask for your consent.

2. Data Stored in Your Browser

The following is generated as you use the product and is stored in the local storage and local configuration of the browser you use. Only you can access it:

Data Contents
Bookmarks & groups The apps you saved, plus the names and ordering of groups you created
App information Public information such as name, icon, version, rating and price of apps you browsed or saved
Records Version history, reviews, in-app purchase information, update snapshots and check logs
Notes Notes you write, and items you save from reviews, versions, screenshots and elsewhere
Settings Preferences such as update frequency, region and theme

This data is never uploaded to our servers, and we cannot read, modify or delete it remotely.

3. Permissions Requested by the Extension

Permission / Site Purpose
Local storage Store the bookmarks, groups, notes and settings described above
Scheduled tasks Revisit saved apps at the configured interval and record changes in version, rating, price, etc.
Access to apps.apple.com Show the save entry while you browse an app page, and read the app information currently displayed publicly on that page
Access to itunes.apple.com Search apps by keyword, look up public information by ID, and retrieve public reviews

Beyond the purposes listed above, the product does not use these permissions for anything else.

4. Retention, Backup and Deletion

  1. Data is stored on your device, and how long it is kept is up to you. We keep no server-side copy, so there is no “server retention period” to speak of.
  2. You can export an encrypted backup file from within the extension and keep it yourself. The backup file is saved to a location you choose; we have no access to it.
  3. To delete data: remove individual records inside the extension, or uninstall the extension or clear your browser data — the related data is then deleted. Because the data exists only locally, we cannot restore it for you.
  4. When switching devices, export a backup first, then restore it on the new device.
  1. Displayed content such as app names, icons, screenshots, ratings and reviews comes from publicly displayed app store pages and public data. The relevant requests go directly from your browser to Apple’s servers, without passing through us. How Apple handles those requests is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
  2. Content generated by the “Share” feature contains only the app’s public ID and name — not your notes or any other personal information.
  3. The product may contain links to app stores or other third-party websites; how those sites handle data is governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Protection of Minors

The product is not directed to children under the age of fourteen. Because it does not collect personal information, it does not knowingly retain any child’s personal information. If you are the guardian of a minor and have any question about the product, you can contact us as described in Section 8.

7. Changes to This Policy

  1. We may update this policy to reflect feature changes or new regulations. Updates will be published on this page, with the date at the top revised.
  2. If an update changes the scope of data collection, we will notify you prominently inside the extension; if you disagree, you may stop using the product and uninstall it.

8. How to Contact Us

If you have any question, comment or complaint about this policy or your data, you can reach us at:

We will normally respond within fifteen days of receiving your question.
