WuCai Diary
A diary on every device you own: calendar and timeline views, photo entries, paper styles and backdated writing — no social feed, no algorithm.
A diary that fits the way you actually write.
WuCai Diary (五彩日记) is a journal app for iOS and Android. It gives you two ways to look at the same life: a calendar that shows which days you wrote, and a timeline that reads like a continuous book. Type on a phone, pick it up on another device, and keep writing — including entries for days that have already passed.
There is no social feed, no follower count and nothing to perform for. It is a diary, not a stage.

How It Works
Two views: calendar and timeline
The calendar is for orientation — year, month and week views show at a glance which days have an entry and which are blank. The timeline is for reading: entries flow one after another like pages in a book, so an ordinary week becomes something you can actually revisit.
Entries that look like pages, not forms
Beyond plain text, entries support photos, font settings and paper backgrounds. Keeping a hand-written-style journal (手帳) does not require a separate app: the paper is inside the entry.
Write the past, too
Forgot to write yesterday? Backdated entries let you fill in a day that has already passed, so the record stays complete instead of having holes exactly where life was busiest.
Group by category
Entries can be filed under categories — work, travel, mood, family — and each category can be read on its own. Useful when the same diary serves as a work log and a personal record.
Open it anywhere
Text syncs across devices once you sign in, and everything still works offline. Write on the phone on the subway, finish on a tablet at home.
Membership and Export
The app is free to download. A membership adds the things a long-running diary eventually needs:
- No splash ad when opening the app
- Cloud backup for images and video, so a lost phone is not a lost diary
- Export to PDF or Word, for printing a year or archiving a decade
- Themes, custom reminders and custom paper made from your own photos
What People Use It For
1. A daily journal that survives busy weeks
Two taps to today’s entry, backdating when you missed a day, and a calendar that shows the gaps. The habit is forgiving, which is why it lasts.
2. A travel diary
Photos, dates and a timeline view turn a trip into something readable in order, not a folder of images.
3. A work log and weekly review
Category-filtered entries make it easy to pull out what happened on a project, then write the summary from the record instead of from memory.
FAQ
Is there a version for Android?
Yes — WuCai Diary runs on both iOS and Android, and the two can share the same account.
Do I need an account to use it?
No. You can write locally without signing in; an account is only needed for sync and membership.
Can I write about a day that has already passed?
Yes. Backdated entries let you add to any past date, so a missed day can still be filled in.
Can I get my diary out of the app?
Members can export entries to PDF or Word, up to a daily limit, so the diary is never trapped inside the app.
Where is my data stored?
Text stays on your device and, with an account, in your own cloud space; images and video are backed up for members. See the privacy policy.
