PanoSnap

Capture an entire webpage as one tall screenshot, then annotate, redact and export it — free, no ads, local-first.

  • Full Page Screenshot
  • Scrolling Capture
  • Annotation
  • Redaction

PanoSnap is a free browser extension that captures an entire webpage — including everything you would normally have to scroll through — as one tall screenshot. You can also drag to capture any area, then annotate, redact and export it in the built-in editor.

Sticky headers, floating buttons and other fixed elements are hidden during capture, and page animations are paused, so the seams do not repeat your navigation bar or freeze a half-finished animation. Screenshots, edits and history stay in your browser; no account required.

In one sentence: scrolling capture, area capture, annotation and redaction, export and share — all in one extension.

How to Take a Full Page Screenshot in Chrome

  1. Open the page you want to capture and click the PanoSnap icon in the browser toolbar.
  2. Choose “Full page” — PanoSnap scrolls the page, shoots it screen by screen and stitches the frames into one tall image. To capture only part of the page, choose “Area” and drag to select it.
  3. The editor opens when the capture is done. Crop, annotate or redact, then save as PNG / JPG / WebP / PDF, or copy straight to the clipboard.

No account needed, and nothing is uploaded to a server.

How to Save a Long AI Conversation as One Image

  1. Open the AI conversation and scroll to the very bottom first, so every earlier message has loaded.
  2. Click PanoSnap and choose “Full page” — it scrolls, shoots each screen and stitches the frames into one image.
  3. In the editor, crop out the input box and sidebar, redact anything private, then export as PNG or PDF.

For very long threads, close a few heavy tabs before capturing to free up memory.

Core Features

Full page capture

Click the extension icon, choose full page capture, and it scrolls the page, shoots it screen by screen, and stitches everything into one complete tall image. Sticky headers, floating buttons and other fixed elements are hidden automatically during capture, and page animations are paused, so the seams stay invisible. Pages with inner scrolling areas are handled correctly too.

Area capture

Drag to select any region of the page and capture just that part. Perfect for a chat snippet, a table section, or a single card.

Annotate and redact

After capture, the editor opens: crop, pen, text, rectangle / ellipse / arrow — mark up what matters. Three redaction modes (solid block, mosaic, blur) strip out avatars, account numbers, amounts and other sensitive details in one stroke. Undo and redo, zoom in to check details, and rotate as needed.

Export and history

Save as PNG / JPG / WebP, or export as PDF; or copy straight to the clipboard and paste into a chat or a document. File names are customizable, and the original pixel size is always visible. Every capture is kept locally in your browser, ready to browse, re-edit or export again.

Common Workflows

Archive a page before it changes

Capture a product page, campaign page, announcement or order detail in full, so you still have the original after the page is redesigned or taken down.

Save a long AI conversation

Capture a 60-turn ChatGPT, Claude or DeepSeek thread as one image, with formulas, tables and code blocks intact — ready to archive or share.

Build step-by-step tutorials

Capture the relevant part of each step and circle the button that matters with an arrow and a label. Readers can follow along without guessing.

Report bugs with context

A long annotated screenshot shows exactly what went wrong, which makes it easier for someone else to reproduce the issue.

Redact before sharing

Mask avatars, account numbers, amounts and chat contents with a solid block, mosaic or blur before you hit send.

Privacy and Your Data

Screenshots, edits, history and settings are stored in your own browser and never uploaded to our servers. PanoSnap is free, has no ads and no paid plan, requires no account, and includes no third-party analytics or advertising services.

PanoSnap reads the current page only when you click the extension on that page, for capturing and measuring it. You can delete a single screenshot or clear your history at any time.

FAQ

Is PanoSnap free?

Yes — free, with no ads and no paid plan.

Do I need an account?

No. Install it and start capturing.

Is there a limit on screenshot length?

No fixed limit. How long a capture can be depends on available browser memory, so closing a few heavy tabs helps on very long pages.

Can it capture content that requires scrolling?

Yes. Full page capture scrolls the page, shoots it screen by screen and stitches the frames into one image.

Can it capture long AI chats like ChatGPT or Claude?

Yes. Scroll to the bottom first so the earlier messages have loaded, then capture the full page. Messages that have not been rendered yet will not appear in the image.

Does it support cross-origin iframes?

No. Content inside a cross-origin iframe is not included in the capture.

Can it capture Chrome’s built-in PDF viewer?

It can capture the visible part, but it cannot auto-scroll, so a long PDF cannot be captured as one full-page image.

Are screenshots uploaded anywhere?

No. Captures, edits and history stay in your local browser.

Which export formats are supported?

PNG, JPG, WebP and PDF, plus copy to clipboard.

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome and Edge.
